ROTARY PATIENTS ATTENDANT’S REST SHELTER
(ROPARS)
Objective:
The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar has embarked upon a humanitarian project of providing shelter to the attendants of poor indoor patients of the Capital Hospital at Bhubaneswar observing that no facilities are available for their stay within the Hospital campus while the patient is under treatment. Under the circumstances they stay either on the verandah or under the green wood tree in extremely in human and sorry conditions. In additions to above for want of toilet facilities the campus is made very dirty and unhygienic. In order to provide some help to the patients and their attendants the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar decided to put up a building which will be known as
“ROTARY PATIENTS ATTENDANT’S REST SHELTER” (ROPARS) to accommodate 30 attendants both male and female.
The project of the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar has found acceptance of the Health and Family Welfare Deptt. Government of Orissa. The land has been earmarked within the Capital Hospital Bhubaneswar and demarcated fro this purpose. The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar finalised the plan and estimate and has obtained necessary approval from the concerned Government Authorities and now the construction of the building is going on at a fast and steady rate and the ground floor is expected to be completed by June 2004.
The building is constructed out of funds collected from benevolent donors. The shelter will be fully furnished and there will be provision for ambulance van and stand by generator for emergencies with the support of a MG project which is already submitted to the Rotary Club of Willmington, USA and receives attention. The MG Project is a TWIN CLUB PROJECT with the
sponsorer.

Two numbers dormitories to accommodate male attendants.

Ten numbers single rooms to accommodate female attendants.

Kitchen provision for attendants.

24 hrs water supply.

Ambulance van for emergency.

Standby electric generator.
Project Cost:
Estimated cost the building are - Rs. 23.00 lakhs
